This is the conclusion American scientists came to. They did a study on the subject and found that most men and women are satisfied with ten minutes of intercourse.
These conclusions run counter to the widespread legends about hours of lovemaking. It turns out that the long sex scenes that abound in women’s novels and Hollywood films are nothing more than a beautiful, but unrealistic picture.
One of the authors of the study, Professor Eric Corti, notes: “Mass culture has established certain stereotypes in the field of sexual relations. Many people today believe in fairy tales about intercourse that can last all night. This, in turn, leads to frustration and dissatisfaction.”
During the study, scientists interviewed several dozen experts in the field of sexology, including psychologists, doctors, and social workers. Survey participants had to answer questions about how long sex they consider adequate, ideal, too long, and too short.
Most of the respondents believe that adequate, in their opinion, sexual intercourse lasts from 3 to 7 minutes. But perfect sex lasts from 7 to 13 minutes. At the same time, love pleasures lasting from 1 to 3 minutes do not satisfy the majority of respondents.
