You will be surprised, but the record length of the eyelashes of the Chinese woman Yu Jianxia is already 20.5 centimeters. The hairs on the eyes are so long that the woman tucks them behind her ear like bangs. She, for obvious reasons, does not use mascara and eyeliner.
Despite all the inconvenience associated with abnormally long eyelashes, Yu Jianxia is not even going to cut them. After all, how can you cut the “gift of the Buddha” – namely, this is how a resident of China calls her incredibly long eyelashes.
It is not difficult to believe in a miracle – whether natural, magical or biological – because a woman has repeatedly undergone a complete check-up of the body, and doctors have not found any health problems or abnormalities in her. In a word, everything is in order with the owner of the longest eyelashes in the world. Her relatives do not have such an anomaly, which is why Yu Jianxia links the abnormal growth of eyelashes to her past.
The Chinese woman is convinced that the hair began to grow rapidly when she spent more than a year in the mountains. It all started back in 2015, and by 2016, the length of Yu Jianxia’s eyelashes had reached 12.4 centimeters.
The legend about the gift from the Buddha himself is really very beautiful. However, it seems that the point here is still a change in metabolism, even if doctors have not yet been able to detect this anomaly.
