At what age do couples stop having sex and lose sexual interest in each other the English Internet portals conducted a survey among married couples to find out how often they have sex.
The survey involved 634 men and women aged 51 to 85 years.
It turned out that 25% of all couples over 50 surveyed do not have sex at all.
Interestingly, this fact does not affect their level of happiness in any way and does not affect their relationship in general.
For people over 50, the main sources of happiness are trust, friendships, and a partner’s sense of humor. The presence or absence of the sexual side of life does not affect the level of satisfaction with relationships and happy family life.
A third of those surveyed admitted that they have sex once a week, and only 2% of participants do it daily.
Half of the couples who don’t have sex said they regret it.
57% of respondents do not pay attention to this at all and continue to live happily with a partner, finding sources of pleasure in other interesting things
According to psychologists, passion plays an important role in relationships. But such qualities as kindness, generosity, and compassion are no less important for strong happy relationships, and at any age.
98% of the participants said that the most important thing in a family is trust, followed by kindness, support, friendship and communication, love, and a sense of humor.
