On the morning of October 15, a lecture by Elena Bazu on a conscious lifestyle and the philosophy of ethical consumption was held at the sorting station Ukraine without Smitya.

The guests talked a lot with Elena about how to buy products without plastic, how important it is to stop drinking hot coffee from straws, and not taking plastic bags in supermarkets, but sticking stickers on food or one large cotton bag.
And also about the importance of shifting the focus of consumption: from things to emotions – gifts for loved ones, travel, e-books, and online courses, touched a little on the topic of thinking. After the lecture, the guests sorted and properly disposed of the garbage they had brought with them.
“Ukraine without Smitya” is a public organization whose main goal and task is zero waste in landfills. The main areas of work are: creating opportunities for the transition to a qualitatively new way of life and reducing waste through raising awareness; holding lectures on responsible consumption and proper waste management, tours of the station for everyone; advocacy of legislation so that the practice of responsible waste management does not rest on the shoulders of activists and caring people, but becomes a legislative norm, as it should be in a civilized society.
