Notes: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Three Rules For Success

Most recently, the business event of the year Olerom Forum One was held in the capital’s Sports Palace. One of the main speakers of the event was an athlete, a hero of Hollywood action films, and ex-governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I also visited the main business event in Ukraine, and I want to share with you, dear readers, the three main rules for the success of  Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Rule 1: visualization

You need to be clear about who you want to be. I have always seen myself in leading roles – both as a bodybuilder and as an actor. I also clearly saw myself as the governor of the US state of California. I saw myself as the richest actor and entertainment professional in Hollywood. I imagined myself in millions of dollars.

It’s important to know where you’re going. You can have the best ship in the world, but if the captain doesn’t know the direction, the ship will just drift in the sea and never get where it needs to go. The ship will sail to some bad place.

Rule 2: Don’t listen to those who say it won’t work

Every time there were people who told me: “It won’t work. ” I started with bodybuilding, and even then I heard from my parents: “Do you have enough sugar in your head? It won’t work. You won’t succeed.” But it did.

When I decided to become a leading actor, I came to the studio directors. Many said that I would never succeed. According to them, none of the emigrants became top actors. They told me: “Maybe something will work out, but you are too big. You weigh 100 kg. And your name is so difficult to pronounce – Schnitzel or who are you?” There should be no accents in America. I denied all this. I earned the most – take “Terminator 3″, ” Batman and Robin ” – $ 30 million per film.

And then I thought that I would retire as an actor and become the governor of California.

Rule 3: work hard!

There are no shortcuts. There are no magic pills. There is only one way: work, work, workThere are 24 hours in a day. Of these, 6 hours of sleep. Some say they need 8 hours of sleep – just sleep faster. And there are 18 hours left. The average person works 8-10 hours a day. There are 6-8 hours left. Depending on how one works. And at the same time, people sometimes complain that they do not have time to go to the gym. So many hours left, and they can’t work on their bodies in the gym.

I woke up this morning and rode the bike for half an hour. Then I worked at the gym. I had breakfast. On the plane and to you here. You can practice every day! And now I’m not just talking about sports. Although this needs to be done. I’m talking about the fact that you can find an hour for self-improvement. Imagine that you will devote this hour to studying foreign languages. If you allocate an hour of time per day for this, then in a year you can learn a new language .
